Hello!
Thank you for visiting my online shop. I am Karen Suzuki West from Japan. I currently live in Ningaloo Reef, Exmouth, Western Australia, with my Australian husband and son.
My hobbies are surfing, yoga, snorkelling and reading. I design all of my products myself.
I've loved drawing and colouring since I was a child. I especially remember drawing flowers, people, and animals.
I studied calligraphy for six years in primary school and really enjoyed creating characters using ink and a brush,
which I feel is similar to the watercolour painting I do now.
When I was in high school, I attended an art studio for about a year, during which I explored a wide range of art forms,
including drawing with pencils and acrylic gouache, and creating sculptures with clay.
After that, I stopped painting for a while after entering the workforce, but after moving to Exmouth,
I felt the urge to draw again and have continued to do so ever since.
Nature, flowers, creatures,animals and children always inspire me to paint.
I feel that painting in watercolours what I see and feel in my heart is the way I can express myself most authentically.
